Terms of Service

1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using the Job2Build platform (job2build.co.uk), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Job2Build Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

2. The platform

Job2Build provides an online marketplace connecting customers seeking home improvement and construction services with tradespeople. We are an intermediary only — we are not a party to any contract between customers and tradespeople.

3. Account registration

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• One account per person — multiple accounts are not permitted
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access

4. Customer obligations

As a customer, you agree to:

• Provide accurate job descriptions and requirements
• Respond to tradespeople in a reasonable timeframe
• Not contact tradespeople outside the platform to avoid lead fees
• Leave honest, accurate reviews based on genuine experiences
• Not post fraudulent or misleading job listings

5. Tradesperson obligations

As a tradesperson, you agree to:

• Maintain valid public liability insurance at all times
• Hold all required trade qualifications and licences
• Provide accurate profile information and not misrepresent your skills
• Pay lead fees as invoiced
• Not solicit customers outside the platform after first contact through us
• Behave professionally and comply with UK consumer protection law

6. Lead fees and payments

Tradesperson lead fees are set by Job2Build and communicated at the time of lead delivery. Fees are non-refundable except where a lead contains provably incorrect contact information. All fees are subject to UK VAT.

7. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Post false, misleading, or defamatory content
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Attempt to circumvent our systems or extract data unauthorised
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Post spam or unsolicited communications

8. Intellectual property

All content on the Job2Build platform (including logos, design, text, and software) is owned by or licensed to Job2Build Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

Job2Build is a marketplace only. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any work carried out by tradespeople found through our platform. To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, our liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid to us in the previous 12 months.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will give you 30 days' notice of material changes via email. Continued use after that period constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
